So this page starts with what each one actually does, then the prices, then where VidAI sits.
Where the other four are ahead
replient.ai covers eight platforms; VidAI covers one. replient.ai manages comments on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Reviews and the two app stores from one dashboard, with If/Then workflows that hide spam and hate or route complaints, and it learns a brand's voice from its historical replies and its website (replient.ai, 2026-09-27). It is built for brands and companies, priced per brand, and it is the right answer if YouTube is one of several channels your team moderates. VidAI does YouTube only.
CommentShark has a rules engine and a free plan. Comments are matched against rules you write and each match takes an action — reply, remove, hide — with AI replies that learn from your previous ones and take custom instructions ("answer as a pirate" is their own example). Automatic or an Approval Required queue, your choice. The free plan gives 3 rules and 20 actions a month; it says it is used by 5,000+ creators (commentshark.com, 2026-09-27). If you want to automate moderation as much as replies, this is the most complete rulebook of the five.
CreatorReply is the most cautious. Every reply is drafted for your approval — it never posts on its own — with safety filters, a review queue, a kill switch, reply caps, per-video rules and an activity log that shows every decision. It covers videos, Shorts and Community posts. On 2026-09-27 its registration was closed ("preparing for launch"), so it could not be tried (creatorreply.com, 2026-09-27).
Creator Tools answers in the viewer's language, natively, and does translation too. Its AI Comment Replies detect the commenter's language and answer in it — "140+ languages", "never a word-for-word translation" — with an Autopilot that checks every 10 minutes or a Draft mode, 48 tone presets, and 200 free replies with no card (creator-tools.com, 2026-09-27). It is also the one tool besides VidAI that translates YouTube metadata (that comparison is separate). If replying to a Japanese comment in Japanese is the point, it is ahead: VidAI drafts in the language you set for the channel and shows you a translation of the comment and the reply, it does not answer natively in 100 languages.

Where VidAI differs
It is draft-first by design, and automatic mode is earned, not switched. A new channel starts in the inbox: VidAI reads the comments, classifies each one (praise, question, complaint, spam…), drafts a reply for the ones worth answering and waits. Only after you have approved five replies does it start posting on its own — and then only replies the classifier marks as sure (confidence at or above 0.85 by default) in the categories you allow (praise and question by default). Spam and anything that reads as toxic are never posted automatically; a comment you already answered is left alone; a comment older than your age limit is skipped. The other tools let you choose between "automatic" and "approve everything"; VidAI's middle setting — automatic for the easy ones, the inbox for the rest — is the default and the only mode the owner sees.
The voice is yours, from three sources. Your own past replies on the channel (mined when you connect it), a short voice form, and a free-text "what VidAI should know" for the facts a stranger would not have — upload days, where the merch is, what you never talk about. Hard rules say what it must never answer.
One comment on every new video. Optionally, VidAI posts a single opening comment under each video you publish — an easy question drawn from the video's title, description and subtitles — so the thread does not start empty. Off by default; one per video, never if one exists already.
The same account translates the channel. If you use VidAI to publish your titles, descriptions and subtitles in 100 languages, the Comment Manager sits next to it — same channel connection, same credits, same inbox translated into your language with one click. Creator Tools is the only other tool on this page that covers both jobs; the rest are comment tools only.
What it does not do, so you are not surprised. It tracks top-level comments, not replies to its replies. It runs from the web inbox at vidai.help/comment_manager, not from inside YouTube Studio yet. Each posted reply spends 51 units of YouTube's API quota from a product-wide daily budget, so on a very busy day the sure replies can wait until the next one — they are never lost, and the inbox says when that happens. And it answers in the channel's language: if your audience comments in five languages, Creator Tools' native replies are the better fit today.
