Free YouTube tools
Four free tools that answer what YouTube's own pages do not show: which languages a video is translated into, which tags and monetization signal it carries, which thumbnail sizes exist, and how your thumbnail looks next to competitors. No extension and no credits; a Google sign-in only for the steps that ask YouTube's API.
-
Translation checker
Which languages is this YouTube video translated into?
Paste a video link to see its default language, every localized title and description with a 100-character check, what a viewer in each language sees, and which of 100 languages are still missing.
-
Video info
What tags, stats and monetization signal does this video have?
The tags YouTube hides on the watch page, the hashtags, category and full stats, YouTube's public licensedContent monetization flag, and a 0–100 metadata SEO score.
-
Thumbnail downloader
How do I download a YouTube thumbnail in full size?
Every thumbnail size YouTube stores for a video or a Short, up to 1280×720, with a working download button for each size.
-
Thumbnail tester
How does my thumbnail look next to competitors?
Put your thumbnail ideas into a realistic YouTube feed next to similar videos and pick the one that stands out — before you publish.

Frequently asked questions
Are VidAI's YouTube tools free?
Yes. None of them charges credits on any plan, the free plan included, and every page can be read without an account. Looking a video up asks YouTube's API, so that step needs a Google sign-in — signing in is the whole price.
Why do I have to sign in to look up a video?
Every lookup spends YouTube Data API quota that the extension, the thumbnail tester and the channel features share. Without a sign-in the tools would be an anonymous public proxy for our API key; a Google account keeps them available for everyone. No card, no plan.
Do I need the VidAI extension to use them?
No. The pages work in any browser. The extension is for doing the same without pasting links — an Info button on every watch page — and for translating your own videos in YouTube Studio.
Where does the data come from?
From YouTube's public Data API and YouTube's public thumbnail files, read with our own key. Nothing comes from a creator's private Studio data, and the video's owner is not notified that you looked.
Which tool answers which question?
Translations and missing languages: the translation checker. Tags, stats, category and the monetization signal: video info. Thumbnail files in every size: the thumbnail downloader. How a thumbnail competes in a feed: the thumbnail tester.
