AI Titles — Title Studio

The title is the single highest-leverage field on YouTube — it decides whether anyone clicks at all. Title Studio (the rebuilt v2 experience) doesn't just "write a title": it learns your channel, runs your video through multiple AIs in parallel, and ranks the results by your channel's proven patterns. This is a core feature — it's worth understanding properly.

Why this is different from "AI, write me a title"

A generic title generator guesses in a vacuum. Title Studio does three things a blank box can't: it knows your channel (what it's about, who watches, how your titles usually look), it gets several AIs to compete instead of trusting one, and it ranks for your patterns — so what surfaces fits the channel viewers already subscribed to, not a generic idea of "a good title".

One mental model: Title Studio = your channel's memory + an AI council + a ranking pass. The three sections below are exactly those parts.

1 · It learns your channel (and remembers for ~24h)

The first time you generate for a channel, VidAI builds a channel intelligence profile from your channel on YouTube: what the channel is about, your audience, your voice, and detected patterns like your typical title length, common openers and structure. Every generation reads this — that's why results sound like you, not like generic AI.

Building it is expensive, so VidAI does it once and reuses it. It doesn't rebuild on every click. You control it from the ⓘ "About this channel" button next to the Title Studio heading:

🧠

Reused, not re-fetched

The profile is cached and read on every run. A freshness line shows when it was last built. No waiting, no re-charging on each generation.

Refresh once / 24h

Changed direction or just posted a hit? Click Rebuild now to refresh the profile. To respect limits this is allowed once every ~24 hours per channel (a countdown shows the wait).

✏️

You can override it

Edit the About / Audience / Creator / Voice fields yourself. Anything you type always wins over the auto-detected text and is never overwritten by a rebuild.

Deeper dive: the full persona, audience and channel-voice model is its own page — see Channel Intelligence. Two minutes there improves every AI tool, not just titles.

2 · The AI Council — multiple AIs, then a blind judge

Here's the part most creators have never seen. Instead of one model's opinion, Title Studio can run an AI Council: several different AIs each propose titles in parallel, then a separate blind judge re-scores every candidate without knowing which AI wrote it (this removes the bias where a model rates its own work too highly), and the results are ranked for variety so you get genuinely different strong angles — not five versions of the same line.

While it runs you'll see a short progress story ("Reading your video & channel style…", "AI #1 is thinking…", "AI #2 is thinking…", "Merging…", "Ranking…"). Each result can carry a small badge — AI #1 / AI #2 / AI #3, or ✨ AIs agreed / 🌟 all 3 agreed — plus an angle tag (curiosity, how-to, listicle, question…) and an optional one-line reason. VidAI never shows model brand names; you just see the council.

What each plan gets

🆓

Free

Single AI, up to 5 titles per run, with the same channel-aware ranking and the full progress UI. Genuinely useful on its own.

Any paid plan

AI Council unlocks: 2 AIs propose in parallel, a blind judge re-scores, results ranked for diversity. Up to 5 titles, and the top picks always include the best from each AI.

🚀

PRO

Optionally add a 3rd AI for a stronger consensus signal and a bigger candidate pool — and up to 10 titles per run.

You don't pick models — you only choose Single → AI Council (2) → 3-AI via the ✨ AI Council mode toggle in the panel (3-AI is a PRO opt-in in settings). A council run uses more credits than a single-AI run because it's running several models and a judge — exact, live costs are on Credits & Plans and vidai.help/plans.

3 · It gets smarter as you use it

When you apply a title VidAI quietly notes it as a win; titles you ignore and regenerate past are noted as "not these". Future runs lean toward what you actually pick and away from what you keep rejecting — for a while — so the tool tunes to your taste without you managing anything.

How to use it — step by step

  1. Open Title Studio

On the video in YouTube Studio, the 👑 Title Studio panel sits right under YouTube's title field (it also appears in the upload dialog — there it works from channel style + your brief).

  2. Type a brief (optional)

One line in the "tone, follow-up, keywords…" box — "lead with the result", "curiosity, no clickbait", a keyword to include. Leave it empty and VidAI infers from the video.

  3. Choose Single or ✨ AI Council

Free is single-AI. On paid, flip AI Council mode for multiple AIs + the blind judge. PRO can enable 3-AI in settings.

  4. Generate

Press Generate (or Enter). Watch the progress steps; results arrive as tiles with score, angle and council badges.

  5. Use one — or regenerate

Click Use → (or the title text) and it types into YouTube's field with a quick animation. Not feeling them? Adjust the brief and Generate again — it adapts, and learns from what you picked or skipped.

  6. Tune it in ⚙ Title settings

Open the gear to set style, length and rules for this channel (next section). Settings are saved per channel and also shape descriptions, chapters, keywords and hashtags.

Per-channel settings (the ⚙ panel)

Everything in the settings modal is saved per channel (auto-detected from the Studio URL — there's a "wrong channel?" check and a "Copy settings from another channel" option). These settings power every AI tool for that channel, not just titles.

Title controls

Style (engaging / SEO / curiosity / listicle / how-to / provocative), length (short / medium / long), and how many titles per run — up to 5, or up to 10 on PRO.

🔒

PRO rules

Quick-rule chips (match channel voice, include year, numbers, question style, mirror top performers), free-form "default instructions" every run obeys, banned phrases, and 3-AI mode.

🌍

Language & emojis

Force an output language or leave it Auto (match the video). Emoji policy: Auto / always / never. Both apply channel-wide.

Free vs PRO: free users see every setting, but PRO-only ones (quick rules, default instructions, banned phrases, >5 titles, 3-AI) are marked and simply not applied unless you're on PRO. Nothing breaks — you just get the standard behaviour.

Output language

By default titles come out in the video's language ("Auto"). To pin a different one, use the language pill in the Title Studio header for a quick switch, or set Force output language in ⚙ settings. The choice is per channel and also applies to descriptions, chapters, keywords and hashtags.

Bonus: A/B test your titles

Separate from Title Studio, VidAI also plugs into YouTube's own "Test & Compare" title experiment. When you open YouTube's A/B test dialog, VidAI adds a button to generate test-ready title variants right there — so you can let real viewers pick the winner instead of guessing. (It's its own feature and may be toggled separately.)
